Wolves defender Neill Collins has been called up to the Scotland B squad for the friendly against the Republic of Ireland in Airdrie on Tuesday.

Collins has been capped seven times at under-21 level but this is his first time with the B squad.

And he is likely to face some familiar opposition with Molineux team-mates Stephen Ward and Kevin Foley already named in the Irish squad.

Collins said: "It would be great to come up against the boys up at Airdrie but, to be honest, I'm just really pleased to be involved."

Meanwhile, Rob Edwards is hoping to be back soon to play a part in the club's promotion challenge.

He emerged unscathed from Tuesday's reserves match against Bradford after his knee injury.

"I've had problems with my right knee for a few months but everything seems be fine now," he said.

"I injured it during a training session back in April then took a whack on it in the reserve game at Walsall in September.

"Playing for the 90 minutes against Bradford was a good test and I'm pleased to say there was no reaction from the knee whatsoever.

"It's been a really frustrating time for me. But when this week's international break is over we face several games in a short space of time and hopefully I can play a part in keeping us up at the top end of the table."

n Wolves have been drawn at home to Charlton in the third round of the FA Youth Cup with the tie to be played on or before December 15.
