Kevin Short, 45, head professional golfer at Newport's Aqualate Golf Club, today paid tribute to his father, who worked as a firefighter at Donnington's MoD base before retiring 10 years ago.
"He was probably one of the most kind-hearted and caring people you would ever meet," he said. "He lived for his family. I've never known anyone who's had a bad word to say about him."
