Greater Birmingham went on to lose 21-20 to holders Hereford & Worcestershire in midweek.That has booked H & W's spot in the final and means Shropshire need just one point from Tuesday's clash to make sure they join them.

Their side will once again dominated by the county's leading club Newport - with no less than 16 members of the 28-man preliminary squad playing their club rugby out of Forton Road.

But south Shropshire could be represented too, with two players from Midlands 3 West (North) side Ludlow in the frame for selection.
