The Shrewsbury-born 2004 PGA champion finished in a share of 11th position at the UBS Hong Kong Open after four sub-par rounds - including a final round four-under 66 yesterday.

But Drummond required a top five finish to climb in to the top 120 on the Race To Dubai rankings and secure his card for next season. His season's earnings of 225,000 euros left him in 128th position.

Drummond has shown encouraging form over the last two months, but six successive missed cuts at the start of the year have proved costly in the final reckoning.

All is not lost for Drummond, however, who can still secure playing rights on the 2010 Tour via qualifying school in Spain at the end of this month.
