Shropshire's leading rugby club have parted ways with their head coach - just days after securing their National League future.
Newport have decided that Ian Bletcher, who spent just under two years at Forton Road, will be replaced by former captain Steve Dolphin.
Club officials said they were keen to ensure the coaching staff retained a local feel ahead of another season in National 3 Midlands League.
Club chairman Steve Woodhouse said: "The strength of the club has been retained by having the majority of its first team players from the local area.
"The club are committed to this policy, with the help of one or two foreign players who bring additional experience and coaching skills.
"The opportunity to unite Stephen Dolphin with our new coaching and management team in time to prepare for next season was ideal for the clubs' vision for the next few years. Regretfully we could not also retain our current head coach Ian Bletcher who has steered us through our early season difficulties to a successful conclusion."
Director of Rugby Ray Price left his role earlier this week, with former player Matt Batters his replacement.
Team manager Gareth Davies and coach Bob Adams take charge for next week's Shropshire Cup semi-final against Bridgnorth.
