Banks's has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with AFC Telford United which will see the brewers supply drinks at the New Bucks Head, it was revealed today.

Club chiefs are remaining tight-lipped about the exact size of the deal but said it was worth a five-figure sum.

Banks's Brewery logos and advertising went up on the David Hutchinson Stand yesterday as part of the contract.

Adam Myatt, area business development manager for the brewery, said: "Banks's is very proud to be involved with a football club which has such a rich heritage.

"As a local brewery we feel it is important to be investing in local football, but just as important, we feel that by investing in AFC Telford Utd we are also investing in the community of Telford."

Mr Myatt added: "I have been very impressed by the set-up of the stadium."

Anton Gunter, the Bucks' commercial manager, said: "We are very pleased with the stand sponsorship and are pleased to be working with Banks's Brewery."
