The match between a Devon Malcolm XI and Wem will launch the club's campaign to raise £10,000 for the refurbishment of the Kynaston Ground clubhouse.

Broadcaster Sybil Ruscoe will be a hosting a question and answer session with Devon Malcolm in the clubhouse after the match.

"We really want to make this a great day out for all the family," said club spokesman Will Savage.

"We are very grateful that Devon is giving his time to come and help us kick-off our fundraising. We hope that local people will come along and support us and enjoy a fun day out too."

"We are offering places for people to play in either of the teams in return for a sponsorship fee of £25. This is a great opportunity to play alongside one of England's cricketing legends."
