Defender Sean Newton has dismissed speculation linking him to a summer switch to the Football League, insisting: "I'm fully focused on AFC Telford United."
Reports in the Cheshire media had suggested Crewe Alexandra could be preparing to make a move for the Bucks' left-back.
Boss Dario Gradi took in the England C team's 2-1 victory over the Republic of Ireland in the International Trophy last Wednesday - with Newton one of three players he is allegedly monitoring.
The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes to pick up another cap for the non-League international side, but now says his attention is on reporting for duty with Telford in pre-season.
"When I was at Droylsden I heard rumours like this before, but knowing football, they don't usually come to anything," he declared.
"I'm just treating it as paper talk until I'm told otherwise. Maybe someone's just mentioned my name once, and everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. "I'm just focussing on playing for Telford and I cannot wait to report back for pre-season."
Newton is also relishing the chance to link up with new manager Andy Sinton, who was confirmed last week as the successor to Rob Smith.
The full-back is one of three players - along with Danny Carey-Bertram and Shane Killock - who has not had to worry about his immediate future as he is already contracted for next season.
"I don't really know Andy Sinton personally, but I know he was a good player and I'm looking forward to working with him," he said.
"It will be good to work with a new manager with new ideas, and hopefully we can push on next season.
"The boys all know he knows what he's talking about," Newton added.
