Shropshire cricketer James Taylor has secured the second double hundred of his First Class career.
The 20-year-old, formerly of Shrewsbury School, scored an unbeaten 206 for Leicestershire yesterday as they rattled up 464-3 declared against Middlesex at Grace Road.
Taylor, who also made an unbeaten double century against Surrey last year, hit 28 fours in an innings which spanned 271 balls.
And it was also enough to put himself in the Leicestershire record books.
His partnership with Andrew McDonald was worth an unbroken 360, smashing the club's previous record of 290 for the fourth wicket by Peter Willey and Tim Boon back in 1984.
