Shropshire golfer Scott Drummond was today continuing his strongest showing on the 2010 European Tour.

Shrewsbury-born Drummond today fired a second round 69 at the BMW International Open in Munich.

After returning the same score yesterday, Drummond was six-under-par and inside the top 15, six shots behind leader Pablo Larrazabal.

It is only the second cut Drummond has made in the last nine tournaments.

Lilleshall Hall's Peter Baker also fired a three-under-par 69 yesterday and was amongst the afternoon starters today.

Ludlow's Welsh international Oliver Farr produced a steady opening to one of the big amateur events of the year.

A two-over-par round of 74 at Hoylake yesterday left Farr in a share of 19th after the first round of the Brabazon Trophy, the English Amateur strokeplay championship.

That left him five shots off the lead while Wrekin's Jamie Brittain returned a 77.
