Wolves' £2.5million new-boy Steven Mouyokolo is out of Saturday's friendly in Belgium as he faced up to the prospect of another week on the sidelines.

The former Hull defender is still struggling with the ankle that took a hefty whack two weeks ago, ruling him out of the opening two friendlies, and will now miss the trip to Charleroi with the injury.

Mouyokolo and fellow Frenchman Ronald Zubar will both sit out the game, after the full-back strained ankle ligaments in the 3-0 win at Bohemians on Saturday.

But manager Mick McCarthy insisted neither player's injury was serious.

He said: "Steven has settled down. He was a lot better yesterday. He won't be going to Belgium but I'd hope he might be back involved in training next week. He got a nasty kick which settled down quickly but it turned out to be worse than it was."

"Ronald will be alright. He's not going to be long term. He's strained his ligaments but he'll be OK and he's feeling a lot better."
