Wolves academy's six-figure deal

Wolves today announced a near six-figure deal with former sponsors Chaucer Consulting to back the club's academy for the next year.
The agreement, which includes an option for a further 12 months, means Chaucer's association with Wolves continues for a seventh year.
Global project management consultants Chaucer were Wolves' main sponsors for five years from 2004, before being replaced by Sportingbet.com when the club won promotion to the Premier League.
Chaucer's chief executive Bob Laslett is a lifelong Wolves fan and the partnership was cemented when he was immediately appointed a director to the Molineux board in 2008.
The new agreement means Chaucer's company logo will feature on all academy match and training kits.
Laslett's support for Wolves began as a six-year-old when the legendary Peter Broadbent, who lived in the village next to him in Kent, signed for the club in 1951.
"Wolves is an intrinsic part of my life and my love for the club is not just as a fan but as a committed supporter both professionally and financially, hence Chaucer Consulting's sponsorship of the academy, which I see as a vital cog in the continued development of Wolves," said Laslett.
Academy manager Kevin Thelwell said: "After the terrific relationship we've had with J. Bishop, we're all delighted Chaucer Consulting have offered their support to the academy as official sponsor.
"Bob is very committed to helping the club attract and develop the next generation of Wolves players.
"His support will help the academy to keep raising the bar in football and educational excellence."
