Teenage star Tom Bradshaw was today celebrating a fresh high as he jetted back to Shrewsbury Town on the back of scoring his first international goal.

Bradshaw found the net on his Welsh under 19 debut last night as the young Dragons stormed to a 2-0 away victory in Liechtenstein.

The 18-year-old also hit the bar with a 20-yard effort before being withdrawn by manager Brian Flynn at half-time.

"It was a brilliant experience and I'm absolutely buzzing," Bradshaw told the Shropshire Star from Liechtenstein this morning ahead of his flight back to London with the rest of the Welsh party.

"To even be part of the squad and coming over to Liechtenstein was fantastic but to be told on Monday that I was starting and then to get a goal was unbelievable.

"When the manager brought me off at half-time he said I had shown him what I can do and that I had done enough, which was pleasing.

"I would like to thank Mr Flynn for giving me the opportunity and I just can't wait getting back training with the lads at Shrewsbury tomorrow."

Bradshaw, who shot to prominence for his club with a two-goal blast on his debut as a substitute at Crewe at the end of last season, was delighted to have made a long trip for his family worthwhile.

"My dad (Chris) and my uncles all drove over and it was brilliant having them there," he added.

"They left home at 7pm on Monday and arrived in Liechtenstein at about lunchtime yesterday.

"They watched the game and stopped last night and then left at 6.30am this morning and should be back about 9pm tonight. Their support has been great."

Shrewsbury reserves are in action at the Greenhous Meadow tonight when they take on Preston (7pm).
