AFC Telford United ace Sean Newton has been called into the England C squad for their crucial international trophy clash with Estonia later this month.

The left back, who has been an ever present for the Bucks in their unbeaten start to the season, is part of a 21-man squad announced by Three Lions boss Paul Fairclough.

But the 22-year-old was left out of the squad that drew 2-2 with Wales at Newtown's Latham Park in a friendly last month.

England need a win against Estonia on October 12 to top Group B and secure a place in the semi finals.

Meanwhile, striker Andy Brown believes AFC Telford United can reap the benefits of his more settled lifestyle.

The 24-year-old headed the clubs scoring charts last term with 17 goals but still felt his form suffered as he adjusted to his first year in full-time work.

A teacher based in Birmingham, he has now got to grips with the demands of a professional career combined with playing high level non-League football.

"It can get tiring at times but with it being my second year I think I'm adjusting a little bit better than last year," he said.

"I did find it difficult last year but hopefully that adjustment period has happened and I'm more settled."

Brown had already notched five goals this term ahead of this afternoon's clash with Worcester City.

He was on target last week in the FA Cup clash with Stourbridge, a game which also marked his 100th appearance for the club.

"It's always nice to score in any game but obviously it was extra special being as it was my 100th game," said the former Nuneaton hitman.

"I had a couple of friends come up to watch and it was nice to get a goal to top it off.

"We're moving into October and unbeaten still, so you can't really argue with that at all," he added.

"The boys are playing well - we've had the odd slip up but we've played well in most, if not all games."
