The Bridgnorth-based club saw off the challenge of Ludlow outfit Burway in last night's Furrows Shropshire Premier League play-off final at Meole Brace.
A 15-shot victory ensured Bylet will remain in the Premier League for 2011, and skipper Mick Harries - who fittingly claimed the match-winning chalk which preserved his team's status - was thrilled.
"I'm well chuffed," admitted Harries. "It's such a nervous experience and all credit to Burway.
"But I felt we deserved to win the game - the lads bowled really well.
"It was vital that we stayed in the Premier League - it helps you hold on to players and it's also good for the prestige of the club."
But the victory is unlikely to spark a U-turn from Harries who had stated his intention to stand down as captain.
"I won't give any names but there are a couple of lads keen to give it a go," he added. "I still want to play for Bylet in the Premier League."
For Tanners Shropshire League champions Burway, it was a dose of fresh heartache as they fell at the final hurdle in their quest to reach the premier league for the second successive year. They had battled past four teams - and won two matches - to reach the final.
"We are all disappointed but the lads gave it their all," said captain Duncan Pressley.
"Bylet haven't had a bad season despite finishing bottom and they are a good side. But we will back to try again and keep knocking on the door."
