Full-back Dean Holden today returned to Shrewsbury Town after being recalled two weeks early from his loan spell with Rotherham.
Holden joined the Yorkshire club at the start of the season for an initial four weeks which was subsequently extended to three months.
That spell was due to expire at the beginning of November, but the 31-year-old right-back has been called back early by Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner, who is preparing his team for Saturday's trip to leaders Chesterfield.
And now Holden, who started four games for Rotherham and also made two substitute appearances, is hoping to push for a return to first team action.
"I enjoyed my time at Rotherham and it was good to get some first team action," said Holden.
"I'm back with a clean slate and it's up to me to try and impress the manager and coaching staff enough to get back in the first team.
Frustrating
"There was plenty of micky-taking before training this morning.
"I had a call from the manager yesterday morning and it came a bit out of the blue — it's good to be back."
Shrewsbury striker Tom Bradshaw was on target for Wales under-19s in last night's 3-3 draw with Turkey in a UEFA qualifier at Carmarthen.
Bradshaw came on as a substitute in the 76th minute and scored in a dramatic finale as the hosts fought back from 3-1 down to rescue a 3-3 draw.
Meanwhile, Shrewsbury were knocked out of the Midland Youth Cup last night when they were beaten 3-2 by Chasetown.
It proved a frustrating night for Dave Hughes' side who dominated the game but missed a host of chances, including two penalties from Ben Evans and Luke Male.
The Shrewsbury goals came from Male and Cameron Broadway.
