Shropshire's Oliver Farr has illuminated the biggest amateur golf tournament in the world - with a hole-in-one in his first round.
Representing Wales, the 22-year-old from Ludlow enjoyed his memorable moment - confirmed as his first hole-in-one in competition by father Graham today - on the first day of the World Amateur Team Championships in Argentina yesterday.
Playing at Olivos - one of two courses being used in the prestigious event - Farr started at the 10th hole and began nervously.
He found himself languishing at six-over-par after his 12th hole before his spectacular ace came at the 178-yard fourth.
And that proved a catalyst for a stunning recovery which saw Farr play the final six holes in five-under-par for a one-over total of 72.
That has left Farr lying 33rd in the individual event, five shots off the lead, while Wales are also 33rd out of the 70 nations competing in the team event.
France lead the team event with England in a share of third position.
