One more win – that's all Shropshire's Chris Ball needs to reach tomorrow's finals day of one of the biggest bowls competitions, the Autumn Waterloo Championship.

The St Georges man was taking on Dean Ferris of the Potteries in the last 16 today in Blackpool after blitzing his way past Yorkshire star Ashley Daykin 21-9 yesterday afternoon.

Chester Road's Andy Moss became Shropshire's first winner of the autumn title in 2006 while Meole Brace's Colin Beaman was the county's first winner of the Spring Waterloo crown earlier this year.
