Only the top 25 after today's fourth and final round at Wychwood Park in Crewe will qualify for the second stage in Spain in December – and 21-year-old Chesters teed off in a tie for 24th. He followed up rounds of 72 and 71 with a disappointing 76 yesterday for a three-over-par total.
Ludlow amateur Oliver Farr was in need of a superb final round after a 74 yesterday following on from two 75s for an eight-over-par total and 57th place, while Bridgnorth's David James was two shots further back.
