Shrewsbury Ladies' first team are aiming to complete a quickfire double when they face their own club's second XI for the second consecutive week.

The firsts emerged as 1-0 winners – Georgie Hessey with the goal – in what was nominally a home game in the West Midlands Women's League Feeder West at Meole Brace last weekend.

Saturday's return fixture will be played at the same venue, with captain Lynsey Cater admitting she is expecting another tense affair.

"Club rivalry is running pretty high," she said. "It's always going to be tough playing people you know."

Bridgnorth Ladies make the trip to Stourport IIs, having drawn 2-2 at home to the same opposition on Saturday.

The Shropshire side had looked on course for victory when two Jo Buckle goals put them in control. But Stourport got one back before half-time and then registered a late equaliser.

Telford & Wrekin were involved in the highest-scoring game of the day, going down 7-3 at Edgbaston IIs.

Chez Lane scored twice, with Rachael Howells also on target in what was Telford's first game in this division since relegation. And they get an instant chance for revenge when they play host to Edgbaston.
