Davies, who recently became a father, said it was a tough decision to step down from the Oswestry club.

"I think I can go with my head held high," said Davies, who took over management responsibilities at the club when Andy Cale also resigned at the end of April 2010.

"I have led the club to runners-up spot in the Welsh Premier, the first-ever European victories against Bohemians and Clifton-ville, and two League Cups.

"I thank the club and Mike Harris (MD) for the opportunity."
