Dejected Shropshire golfer Scott Drummond has missed out on a place on the European Tour for 2012.
The Shrewsbury-born 37-year-old fired a two-under-par round of 68 at the Tour course at PGA Catalunya in Spain in the fourth round of the final stage of qualifying school.
But the damage had already been done and two poor rounds in the first three days meant Drummond could only manage a one-over-par total for the first four days and found himself in a share of 101st spot.
Only the top 70 progressed to the final two rounds of the marathon which offers 30 Tour cards for next season.
Drummond will now have to ply his trade on the Challenge Tour next year, as well as picking up the occasional main Tour invite.
Shropshire border golfer Simon Wakefield also failed to reach the last two days.

Oliver Farr has missed his first cut as a professional.
After successfully making his opening five cuts on the Hooters Tour in America, Ludlow's Farr missed out in his latest event at Shingle Creek in Florida.
Farr made a three shot improvement on his opening round of 74 yesterday.
But his one-over-par total was two too many to compete on the final day.
