Telford-born Elliott Bennett scored the winner for Norwich as they shocked Harry Redknapp's Tottenham 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
Bennett, a former pupil of Thomas Telford School, struck his first goal for the Canaries following his summer switch from Brighton.
His 66th minute strike settled the game and had come after Jermain Defoe had cancelled out Anthony Pilkington's 13th minute opener for Norwich.
The former Wolves winger, who was at the club from age nine before leaving for Brighton in 2009, believes he is just beginning to show his best form in the Premier League.
He said: "I'm delighted to get my first goal – it's been a very long wait – but more importantly it's three points and an unbelievable performance at a tough place.
"To be fair, I thought it would have hit one of their players because there were quite a few around me,, but I'm just delighted that we got the win.
"Obviously, you are happy when you score a goal, but that's why I think we have done well this year – it's not about individuals.
"We have all stuck together and it doesn't matter who scores if we are picking up points."
