Shropshire golf professional James Busby is in contention to record his best performance on the European Challenge Tour.

Busby, who lives at Hadley in Telford and plays out of The Shropshire Golf Centre, shot a five-under-par round of 67 at the Karnten Open in Austria.

That left the 30-year-old, who graduated to the second tier of European golf this season and has a best finish of 32nd in his four events to date, three shots off the lead and in a share of 10th spot.

Shrewsbury-born Scott Drummond was one shot better off after a bogey-free round which left him in a share of third.
