Bryan Robson: England's young guns need to stand up and be counted

Bryan Robson today warned England's young guns to up their game – or risk blowing their World Cup chance.

The ex-England and Albion star reckons the fate of the Three Lions' Brazil hopes rests on the country's starlets.

Roy Hodgson's side top Group H after the win over Moldova and draw in Ukraine this month, ahead of October's final two qualifying showdowns at home to Montenegro and Poland. But

Robson believes Theo Walcott and Co must prove they are capable of firing England to Brazil next year.

"You have got a group of young players; it's up to them to stand up and be counted.

"People like Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, Welbeck Wilshere, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain, these lads have to prove they are good enough to get to the World Cup," said the ex- Manchester United midfielder.
