Grogan joined the club a month after the last campaign began and became an ever-present, as the Bucks' enforcer in the middle of the park.

He picked up a Skrill Conference North title-winners medal and is keen to have a crack at the Premier, having shot up two leagues when he was plucked from Cammell Laird.

He picked up four gongs at Friday's end-of-season presentation night as he won the Club, Supporters, Vice-President's Player of the Campaign and Man of the Match awards.

He was actually Telford's top scorer from open play for 2013-14, as five of striker Adam Farrell's 17 goals have come from the penalty spot.

Negotiations with manager Liam Watson are ongoing, having operated on non-contract forms since his arrival, but Grogan expects that to be little more than a formality.

He said: "The presentation night was brilliant, but the fans have been brilliant all season. It was a shock to win four awards.

"I didn't expect to be standing up and sitting down so much! I have never known a club like this so, of course, I want to stay.

"I am willing to do that so the negotiations should be fairly easy, there will need to be improved terms as I want to cut down on my hours at work."

Grogan will need to be brought into line with the club's top earners because he wants to go part-time with his day job, as a care worker in a children's home, to focus on football.

The 24-year-old wants to pull out all of the stops to succeed, along with the club, in the Premier and knows it will take all of his attentions to do so.

He said: "To play at that level will mean overnight stays on a Friday and I will need rest and days to do my own training regime, to make sure I am as right as I can be.

"I will learn all of the time and I think that playing better teams will bring out the best in me. It should do that for us all."
