Wolves, West Brom, Walsall and Villa fixtures 2014/15 announced
Wolves today face an early test of their Championship credentials by facing three of the relegated Premier League teams in their first four games of the new season.
Kenny Jackett's League One champions host Norwich on August 9, with a trip to Rotherham sandwiched in between Fulham away on the 20th and Cardiff at home three days later.
The first West Midlands derby for Jackett's side sees them host Birmingham City on November 1, with the return at St. Andrew's on April 11.
Boxing Day sees Wolves at Jackett's hometown club Watford with Brentford at home two days later in the only festive dates on the Championship calendar.
Wolves face successive Midlands derbies twice, with Derby away on November 8 followed by Nottingham Forest at home on the 22nd, and the the visit of the Rams on March 21 succeeded by Forest away on April 4, before finishing with Millwall at Molineux on May 2.
Albion have been handed an inviting start with new-boy Craig Gardner handed an immediate reunion with his former club as the Baggies host Sunderland on the Premier League's opener, August 16.
The fixture will also see Billy Jones return to The Hawthorns.
New boss Alan Irvine faces Southampton and Swansea away, Everton at home, Tottenham away and Burnley at home by the end of September.
But the run-in is less appealing with Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal among their final five matches.
Irvine will face former club Everton at home on September 13 and return to Goodison Park on January 17.
Villa go to Stoke on the opening day before hosting Newcastle on August 23.
Hull visit Villa Park a week later before a daunting run of fixtures against Liverpool away, Arsenal at home, Chelsea away, Manchester City at home and Everton away before mid-October.
Boxing Day is a long trip to Swansea but they host Sunderland two days later and welcome Crystal Palace on New Year's Day.
Villa go to Albion on December 13 before the return at Villa Park on March 3.
Walsall kick off at Port Vale and host Swindon on Boxing Day before ending their League One campaign on May 2 with a trip to Bristol City.
