Newport's David Pallett was today aiming to bolster his reputation as a rising darts star after hitting the bullseye with three wins on day one of the PDC UK Open.

The Shropshire thrower conquered Colin Fowler last night in the ITV4 televised event at Butlins, in Minehead.
Earlier, he saw off former PDC world championship finalist Mark Dudbridge, 5-2, in round one, before beating Andy Smith, 5-4, to set up his meeting with Fowler.
