The competition was designed to encourage development of cricket in schools and has proved to be a popular innovation.

In the final at Much Wenlock CC, Charlton batted first and made 108 off their 20 overs with excellent contributions from Faheem Chohan (22) and Tom Davies (20).

William Brookes were then restricted to 78-5, leaving Charlton the winners by 30 runs. Fine bowling performances from Edan Sears and Chohan saw them finish with figures of 2-11 and 1-7 respectively.

A stand-out performance from Evan Limerick fired Thomas Adams School to glory in the Under-15 T20 Plate final.

Limerick shone with both bat and ball as Thomas Adams eased to a six-wicket victory over Thomas Telford at Wem CC.

Thomas Telford batted first and posted 115-9 with their progress checked by Limerick, who picked up 4-23, and Jonny Evans (2-9) and Ben Parry (2-16).

Naz Sandhi (27), Toby Ralph (24) and Matty Simmons (20) were the main run-getters. The target did not appear to faze the Thomas Adams batsmen.

An excellent unbeaten 50 from Limerick off 35 balls and 27 from Harry Astley 27 saw them home in the 19th over for the loss of only four wickets. Connor Steele picked up 2-20 for Thomas Telford.
