Richardson, 14, recently claimed four medals at the ITF World Championships in Italy in June.

And the talented youngster has since added to that haul by claiming a bronze for sparring in London.

Richardson was competing alongside fellow club member and stepfather Dean Lewis, who also claimed four medals in Italy.

Fellow Bridgnorth fighters Sam Jones and David Rowley claimed three medals between them at the Heart of England National Championships.

Jones, competing for the first time, earned silver in sparring and bronze in patterns. Rowley, competing for the second time, also won silver for sparring.

Instructor Gary Plant said: "Sam's pattern was excellent, he looked very sharp and confident while this is David's second attempt at competitive sparring and his second medal.

"This is a big achievement and we are excited to see what the future holds."
