Instones still lead the way in the Premier
Instones still lead the way in the Shrewsbury Sunday League Premier Division after plotting their way to victory against Compasses.
The table-toppers were made to fight all the way for their third straight win with goals from Tom Groves and Louis Irvine securing a 2-1 success.
Kingsley Brown replied late on for the Compasses.
Third-placed Cruckton Rovers bagged some useful points when they beat Kinnerley 4-2 at Monkmoor. A Steve Hole brace and singles from Charlie Musslewhite and Dave Howarth secured the win.
Richie Harris grabbed both goals for the Villagers. Lopp-Wem can't get going yet this season and went down 3-2 at home to Pontesbury 3-2.
Matt Ballard and James Astley scored for the hosts, but their efforts were cancelled out by Wayne Edwards (two) and Dan Jones.
Athletico Market made it three wins out of three in Division One. Goals from Alex Campbell, Jamie Williams and Karl Bailey saw them to a 3-0 success against Condover Foxes.
Coracle went down at home to the Rock Rovers 6-3. Beacon had their goalkeeper sent off as they went down 5-3 to a Kyle Purslow-inspired Minsterley Rangers.
Purslow netted four times for visiting Rangers with Alex Bromley also on target. Nick Davies (two) and Scott Hames replied for Beacon.
Dan Cogan and John Davies struck twice and Dan Cogan once to steer Peacock Cor to a 3-2 win at Bagley Sports. Tom Scotland and Stewart Farley scored for Sports.
Norbury also slipped up at home, going down 4-1 to the Anchor. Mike Cooper, Callum Williams, Aaron Pinches and Dan Guest notched for the Anchor with Reece Evans replying.
Craig Griffiths was in red-hot form as Belvidere eased to victory over Saha Youth in Division Two. Griffiths struck four times to fire Belvidere to a 6-1 success.
James Durnam netted a consolation for Saha. Boars Head lost 2-1 at home to Telegraph. Scott Wigley and Luke Tench were on the mark for the visitors with Hayden Peck netting for Boars.
Radbrrok beat Steam Wagon 3-2 thanks to two goals from Paul Ashley and Sam Lewis. The Wagon's goals came from Carl Owens and Jordon Davies.
Unison marched to a 4-1 victory over Brockton Rovers. Dan Minshall (two), Dan Allen and Tom Macklin were the men on target.
In Division Three, Snailbeach edged an eight-goal thriller with Beeches. Adam Davies and Marcus Ashley both scored twice for Snailbeach with Rih Lock also on target.
Stuart Gater, Jake Wooton and Sam Mathews notched for Beeches. Bull in the Barne crashed 5-1 on their own patch to Castlefields.
Charlie Wareen (two), Alex Simmonds and Dave Murch bagged the goals that earned Nags Head a 4-2 success over Reman Youth. Joe Davies and Ryan Kenny struck for Reman.
White Lion enjoyed their trip to Dudleston as they returned home with the points following a 5-1 success.
Tom Fryer and Ant Higgins netted a brace and Jason Rudder scored for the Lion. Matt Hudson replied.
Bomere Heath and Dun Cow are flying high in Division Four. Bomere edged an entertaining game with Anchor Frankwell 5-3, while Dun Cow beat Crown Abbey Foregate 5-2.
Pete Grech (two), Steve Booth, Dan Simpson and Owen Smith struck for Dun Cow. Dolphin fought back from 2-0 and 3-1 down to garb a 3-3 draw with Harlescott.
Wheatsheaf went down at home 5-2 to Saddlers Athletic. Adam Hamner was the hat-trick hero for Old Post Office in their 6-1 win over Monkmoor.
Ian Finch, Graham Hatfield and Jack Leah-Jones joined Hamner on the score-sheet. Andrew Graig bagged a consolation for Monkmoor.
