Telford's golden girls are the masters
Telford Athletic Club's ladies' masters team struck gold in the Midland Counties Cross Country Championships at Uttoxeter.
The three-strong team were led off on the opening leg by Michelle Clarke, who came home second in 19 minutes 58 seconds.
Claire Martin, returning to racing for the first time in five weeks after injury, went next and brought the Telford trio through into the lead.
Shhe ran 18.22, the fastest masters time of the day and the fourth quickest overall.
Nellie Sanders from Shifnal ran the last glory leg in 21.40 and to bring the team home in first place, holding off a fast finishing Cheadle outfit.
The overall winning time was exactly 60 minutes with Cheadle second (60.13) and Harborough third (63.53).
Telford AC also had a ladies team taking part and they finished 17th out of over 30 teams that started in a race won by Charnwood from Leicestershire.
Alison Preece ran the opening leg in 22.38 bringing the team home 20th. Amelia Reynolds ran the second leg in 20.58.
It moved the team up seven places, with Lisa Blagden running the final leg in 24.39.
