An Emily Ridge tap-in in the second half was enough to give The New Saints Ladies success in the final at Greenhous Meadow.

TNS took an eighth-minute lead when Charlotte Turner headed into her own net from Laura Morris's free-kick from the left side of the box, writes Sam Gilliland.

However, Town responded less than a minute later as Danni Smith found the net with a strike from more than 25 yards out on the left which flew over the goalkeeper.

Emily Ridge caused problems for the Town defence throughout the match and she again got in behind, this time in the 57th minute, but dragged her shot wide of the far post from just outside the box.

However, the striker – TNS' top scorer this season – finally found luck as she raced in behind the Town defence in the 64th minute, went around Beth Cleveley and slotted into the net.
