‘Dream’ wildcard for rising star Tom Booth-Amos
An outstanding run of form has seen rising star Tom Booth-Amos get a ‘dream’ wildcard entry into the British Moto GP.
The 21-year-old from Newport has been rewarded for his multiple podiums so far this year by his team, who have entered him into the Moto 3 race.
Booth-Amos, who currently sits second in the British Motostar championships, admitted he was ‘not expecting miracles’. But he said he could not wait to compete with Team City Lifting in the RS Racing at Silverstone, from August 25 to 27.
“Since I was a kid I’ve wanted to compete in Moto GP – and now my dream is coming true,” he said. “I cannot wait to get there and see how I get on against the world’s best moto3 riders.”
Team City Lifting is looking for support through sponsorship or financial backing. Businesses or individuals who donate more than £300 will be offered the chance to have their name or business logo added to the race bike or rider’s leathers.
