Stunning win for Jess Pugh
Telford badminton star Jess Pugh enjoyed a terrific start to the Singapore Open as she teamed up with Lauren Smith to knock out the second seeds.

Pugh and Smith defeated Indonesian duo Della Destiara Haris and Rizki Amelia Pradipta, who are ranked nine in the world. They won 21-17, 21-17 in a women’s doubles match that lasted 35 minutes.
The British duo were due to be back in action today with a last-16 clash against Isabel Herttrich and Carla Nelte.
Pugh saw her mixed doubles campaign with Ben Lane end yesterday when they lost 21-13, 21-13 to Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand.
