At the end of the match a Town supporter entered the pitch and walked up to the match referee.

The incident was reported to the FA by the match officials and after looking into the incident the Regulatory Commission have decided the club breached FA Rule E20 (a).

Shrewsbury have reminded supporters that it is an offence to enter the field of play and the club will be liable for further charges from the FA if something similar happens again.

Town Chief Executive Brian Caldwell accepted the findings of the FA commission.

“The club have taken on board the findings of the FA Commission and will not appeal their decision.

“The incident highlights that clubs will be fined and further action could be taken if supporters enter the field of play at any time."
