AFC Telford United boss Kevin Wilkin is hoping to "squeeze more" out of his side ahead of back-to-back top end battles against Stamford and Kettering Town.

The Bucks propelled themselves into sixth spot with a 4-1 victory over Bishop's Stortford on Saturday, while they trail Kettering and Stamford, who occupy the top two places, by two points.

Leaders Kettering boast two games in hand on Telford although Stamford have played the same amount of games and Wilkin is confident that his players are more than capable of picking up results in both games.

Telford travel to Stamford on Saturday before welcoming Kettering to Bucks Head on Tuesday next week.

Wilkin said: "It's great to have a win to look forward to the week ahead and some really tough games in the coming weeks.

"Both clubs (Stamford and Kettering Town) will know they are massive games and will be looking forward to it. Hopefully those games will bring out the best in our players.

"I'm sure the opposition will feel exactly the same. It's nice to be in and around the sharp end of it. I think we're capable of more and I'd like to think I can squeeze more out of the group."
