Town beat Northampton 3-2 at The Croud Meadow to set up a mouthwatering tie with Sheffield FC at the end of this month.

Goals from Katie Doster and Vikki Owen and a 35-yard screamer from Pip Wilson saw Salop enter the hat at this stage of the competition for the first time.

And head coach, Darel Tidman-Poole, said it was fitting for the team to do it at the Croud Meadow.

"I am really proud of the girls, first and foremost," Tidman-Poole said. "They were set a different challenge to execute a game plan that was out of the norm for us.

"When it comes down to the performance on the day I think they were well deserving of the victory, and I am glad they have enjoyed their experience.

"They have come out and delivered everything that we have worked on and it is nothing less than what they deserved for the time and effort they put in over the last few weeks.

"We play football for these days and these occasions, and I had said to the girls make sure you play the game and not the occasion, and I think it puts a nice cherry on top to do it in the stadium in front of so many people."
