The club's trip to the south was due to be played on November 16, but due to Reading having players away on international duty, the game has been postponed.

Town face a crunch visit to fellow League One strugglers Burton this weekend, before an EFL Trophy trip to rivals and League Two highflyers Walsall, after sacking manager Paul Hurst.

They will now have a free weekend before hosting Birmingham on November 23.

A statement from Town read: "Shrewsbury's League One clash at Reading - scheduled for Saturday, November 16 - has been postponed due to international call-ups.

"The Royals will be missing least three players for the fixture that was due to take place later this month.

"We will announce a new date for the trip to the Select Car Leasing Stadium as soon as possible."
