Richard Gregory gave Stamford the lead inside 20 minutes but Jimmy Armson hauled Telford level within nine minutes of falling behind.

Matty Stenson's decisive second half double secured back-to-back league victories for the Bucks and propelled them above Stamford and into third place.

Telford sit just two points adrift of Southern Central League leaders Kettering Town who they welcome to Bucks Head tomorrow night.

And Wilkin insists attentions will quickly turn to another important game in midweek.

Boss Wilkin said: "It feels a bit more like the group we got last season, but clearly we've got a really tough game on Tuesday and we need to enjoy tonight and make sure that we're going into Tuesday in the best possible shape we can.

"I'm delighted for everybody in the group. It's a tough place to come, and they're a really good side, so it's nice when can come through it.

"It's an enjoyable day but it's a massive game on Tuesday so we need our full focus to be on that."
