The team, which was made up of all bar one under-14 players, finished rock bottom of the league without winning a single game in the previous campaign.

But this term, manager Kelly Perks helped by Worfield Head of Junior Cricket Sam Whitney have helped propel them to the top of the tree and oversee a remarkable turnaround over the past 12 months.

They finished 12 points clear of runners-up Bridgnorth after collecting 143 points from their 10 fixtures. Shifnal finished in third ahead of fourth-place Forton and Wellington and Church Eaton respectively made up the bottom two.

Worfield's leading batsman Rocco Morgan finished seventh overall in the league statistics while captain Reuben Plain finished second in the league bowling with fellow teammates William Brown and Archie Clarke also finishing in the top 10.
