Boxing prodigy Zara Hussain has scooped her third national title at the NABGC finals in Bridlington.

The 15-year-old Thomas Telford School student beat opponent Daisy Weston from Waterlooville Boxing Club in Portsmouth in the under-63kg category.

Hussain, who fights for Pound 4 Pound in Walsall, will be looking to compete in the junior championships in February next year.

Her latest success consolidated another spectacular win on her Pound 4 Pound home show the previous weekend, as Hussain beat current GB 3 Nations champion Amelia Ashton from Devonport ABC in Plymouth by first round stoppage.

"Everyone at Pound 4 Pound Boxing Academy in Walsall is very proud of her and her achievements. She is a great role model for all the boxers to look up to," Pound 4 Pound wrote on social media.

Earlier this year, Hussain collected her second England Boxing National Championship, after beating Rugby Doherty of Nottingham in the semi-finals before winning 4-1 in the final via split decision against Destiny Ditchburn from Newcastle.

Hussain had only started boxing just seven months before claiming her first title aged just 13 in 2023 when she beat Nancy Richmond of Stratford-upon-Avon by unanimous decision in the female class B under-64kg category.
