Summer signings Pedro Lima and Bastien Meupiyou are now returning from spells on the sidelines, while a number of other players are fighting to get back fit.

The pair, both aged 18, are promising players for the future but O'Neil admits they may be needed sooner rather than later due to the club's defensive concerns and before they can add a centre-back in January.

"Bouba (Traore) should be around Christmas, hopefully," O'Neil said in a round-up of the returning long-term injuries.

"He's got a few appointments coming up which will tell us whether we can speed up or need to slow down a little bit.

"Pedro Lima should be back around it. He's trained for a little while now.

"Bastian is still getting some minutes as well at the moment. He's still fit and still working to try and get some match sharpness.
