Kevin Wilkin addresses AFC Telford United half-time boos
AFC Telford United boss Kevin Wilkin says booing his side off at half-time in the draw against Banbury did not help the players.
George Ball had given Banbury the lead midway through the second half but Matty Stenson equalised for Bucks late on as they snatched a point.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Wilkin as his side who were booed off by a small section of the home crowd at half-time.
“There’s frustration from a small fraction of the crowd that booed us off at half-time," Wilkin said on the incident. "And as I went into the half-time meeting, one of their players was actually laughing about it.
"Knowing that they feel like they've got us rattled, and they thrive on that situation.
"I find that a little bit disappointing. We're all frustrated. I don't think it's a major area of the crowd, but it just doesn't help the players.”
