Salop stayed in a hotel in Blackpool on the final day of 2024 as they prepared for their League One match against the Seasiders on New Year's Day - which they drew 1-1 thanks to Tom Bloxham's goal late in the second half.
Town are on the road again this weekend against Leyton Orient, and they will once more be staying over the night before the match.
Gareth Ainsworth had said before the Blackpool game Auld Lang Syne would have to wait until after the final whistle as they were fully focused on getting a result.
And the boss, who was under the weather, says the hotel was quiet on New Year's Eve.
"Listen to my voice. I'm shot," Ainsworth joked after the Blackpool game.
"I was in bed at half nine last night. So anyone who wants to say the rock and roller is still alive. I'm sorry I let the whole world of rock and roll down last night.
"I didn't even see midnight. So I'll make up for it. But definitely, the boys were all in bed.
"I did a little sweep of the hotel. I didn't see anyone. No one was partying.
"I think one or two of the staff members were just milling around to come late on. But definitely the players were in bed. And again, thank you to the club for letting us do that.
"Apologies, my rock and roll profiles probably took a hit there."
