The former Salop club captain, who made more than 200 appearances in Shropshire, has overseen a remarkable season so far at Bescot Stadium.
They are top of the fourth tier of English football 10 points clear of second-placed Crewe - and with a game in hand.
Sadler had wanted to stay at Shrewsbury back in 2019, a club he said he loved at the time - but he ended up joining the Saddlers.
The Walsall boss was at the Croud Meadow in the summer - he played in the Marvin Morgan Memorial Cup - and does have a good relationship with chairman Roland Wycherley.
But now Sadler is set to stay with Walsall until at least 2028. Their recent good form has led to a lot of speculation linking him to other vacancies.
