The 27-year-old former Liverpool academy graduate joined Salop on a one-year deal back in the summer, following a trial period at the club.
The midfielder, who made five first team appearances for the Reds, before going on to have spells at Rangers, Bury, Fleetwood and Bristol Rovers, has made 17 appearances for Salop so far this season.
The ex-Liverpool man has been blighted by injuries during different stages of his career, and while at Bristol Rovers he spent sixteen months on the sidelines after suffering an infection during routine knee surgery.
Since arriving at Salop, Rossiter has made 17 appearances including ten starts. However since Gareth Ainsworth's arrival at the club, he has started just two games, and will now spend the rest of the season on loan with Oldham, who currently sit fifth in the National League.
The midfielder becomes the second Salop player to depart the club this month - after Charles Sagoe Jr returned to Arsenal following a short loan spell.
