Loanees backed to form a bond at Bucks
AFC Telford United loanees Max Brogan and Jakub Kruszynski have been tipped to strike up a strong partnership by manager Kevin Wilkin.
Midfielder Brogan, 23, joined on a month’s loan from Scunthorpe last week and impressed on debut in Telford’s 2-0 win against Stamford.
After 40 minutes he was joined on the field by the Mansfield Town loanee Kruszynski, who returned from injury to replace Byron Moore just before half time.
“We certainly feel that they can strike a good partnership together,” Wilkin explained. “They’re two young players whose careers are hopefully on an upward curve, and both are exactly the type of players we want at the club.”
He added: “Both have good energy about them and a real desire to do well, they just need guiding and steering in the right way.
“They’re both the exact kind of profile that we want to build this club on.”
The Telford boss also revealed the main reason why he was delighted to secure the services of Max Brogan this month – it brought an end to a six-month long interest.
After his release from Solihull Moors in the summer Wilkin contacted Brogan, only to be beaten to his signature by the Iron.
“Once we knew there was a bit of interest in Ricardo (Dinanga) our intention was to get a solid core of good players in the building,” the Bucks boss said. “We tried to sign Max in the summer, but unfortunately we missed out to a club who are bigger and playing at a higher level.
“We were disappointed not to get him then, but once I found out he was available for loan we made the move.
“I’m keen to work with him and see how much we can progress him.”
