Gareth Ainsworth the head coach of Shrewsbury Town

Gareth Ainsworth is creating a real belief at the football club and there's an optimism within the fan base. It's a different environment.

He's made so many changes, in particular, with the structure of the team to keep them in games.

Going to Charlton is always a difficult trip against a team with excellent resources, compared to what we have.

We took them right to the very death and it could have been so different.

Town are 24th and seven points from safety but they could have quite easily been 21st by the end of the day with everyone looking up.

Fine margins make the difference in football and we had a huge chance through Jordan Shipley just before Charlton went down the other end and scored their winner.

That's where the fans will feel disappointed, but Gareth Ainsworth is keeping his spirits high because of the performance.
