Hopes are high for Shropshire medal haul
This is the Shropshire squad who will represent the county at the English Schools Track and Field Championships.
The two-day competition is being held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham tomorrow and Saturday.
Hollie Williamson, from Wrekin College, who competes in the senior girls 100m hurdles, and Ellis Greatrex, from Thomas Telford School, who takes part in the senior boys 400m, have been selected to be the girls’ and boys’ captains.
Hopes are high for a successful trip with 12 athletes having already achieved the national standard.
